Akshay Oberoi opts out of ‘Fanney Khan’, reasons Aishwarya-Vivek’s affair

Akshay Oberoi, cousin of actor Vivek Oberoi was approached for ‘Fanney Khan’ to romance Aishwarya Rai Bachchan but he walked out. The makers wanted a younger actor to romance Ash but Akshay opted out of the film and the reason is best known to all, Aishwarya and Vivek’s past affair.

A source informed, “Akshay Oberoi was approached for the film. Talks were initiated with the actor but it didn’t work out eventually. Now, they are still hunting for a young actor.”

After Aishwarya broke-up with Salman Khan, she found love on Vivek Oberoi. But the couple broke-up after few years of dating. Ash and Salman had a publicized break-up. Vivek was threatened by drunk Salman for establishing relationship with Aishwarya. It can be recalled that Vivek Oberoi called up a media conference to talk about Salman's late-night phone calls.

Considering the past issue of Vivek with Ash, Akshay Oberoi refused to star opposite Aishwarya in ‘Fanney Khan’.

According to the latest buzz, now ‘Masaan’ actor Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao were being considered for the role.

‘Fanney Khan’ stars Anil Kapoor in the pivotal role. Anil and Aishwarya earlier worked in movies like ‘Taal’ and ‘Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai’.

Anil Kapoor revealed, “Most exciting part is she (Aishwarya) is not opposite me. So that makes it different. Not that she was opposite me in Taal she was opposite Akshaye Khanna. But there was a certain undercurrent of romance in Taal and Hamara Dil AApke Paas Hai she was my wife.” The actor further went on and said, “So we both are strangers in the film, strangers who come together but there is no romance which makes it exciting. That is the different part of our casting.”

‘Fanney Khan’ will go on floor soon.
