The upcoming movie ‘Airlift’ starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur has wrapped up its shooting with a romantic song titled ‘Soch’.

Akshay and Nimrat who will be sharing screen space for the first time will be seen romancing in rain in the song that was shot at a special supplementary shooting on Sunday, December 6.

‘The Lunchbox’ actress took Twitter to share a picture of the song which will be released very soon.

“BEST wrap day possible with my very own rain soaked "Tip-Tip" end to an incredible shoot for #Soch..coming soon!!” she posted along with the picture.

“Can’t believe it’s all over and can’t wait for it to be brought to everyone now !! #AirliftWraps #CountdownBegins,” Nimrat added.

The song also has a romantic sequence featuring the lead pair in the bedroom. Producer Nikhil Advani also shared a glimpse of Akshay and Nimrat shooting for the song from the film’s final day of shoot.

“And on the final day of @AirliftFilm shoot. #Soch #coming soon @akshaykumar @NimratOfficial @TSeries,” he posted on the micro-blogging site with the image.

‘Airlift’ is a thriller based on real events and is set in the backdrop of the Gulf war of 1990 when Saddam Hussain invaded the oil-rich country of Kuwait. The film doesn’t provide much scope for songs, but director Raja Krishna Menon has conceived them in such a way to fit the plot.

Speaking about the romantic song, he said, “It’s a number where after the crisis Akshay’s character retrospects on happier days. We shot it not as an after-thought, but because it fits into the plot.”

Akshay will play the role of Ranjit Katyal, a powerful Indian businessman based in Kuwait, who helped in evacuating 1, 70,000 Indians from the tormented country back to their homeland during the period of crisis.

‘Airlift’ is set to release ahead of Republic day on January 22, 2016.
