Akshay Kumar undergoes real ‘bakheda’ to shoot the song

The song ‘Bakheda’ from Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer film ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ was unveiled a few days ago. ‘Bakheda’ means trouble or problem in rustic Hindi, and the two actors had to literally overcome a few troubles while filming the song.

While Bhumi learnt knitting just a day before the shoot, Akshay did a more daring and dangerous thing. There is a sequence in the song where Akshay’s character Keshav comes down to meet Bhumi’s Jaya. He jumps from one balcony to the other.

Akshay was in a hurry to finish shooting the song as he had some other commitments. So, the Khiladi Kumar, who already prefers to do his own stunts, impulsively took the decision to do the stunt, sensing the delay on the spot. But what left the crew awestruck was that he did the stunt without any safety precaution and that too in a single take! Further, he also taunted the crew members by hanging on the balcony for more than two minutes, sending them in a fit of panic.

"The way Akshay sir jumped from one balcony to the other without any safety precaution and that too, so perfectly without faltering even a wee bit, was mind-blowing," Bhumi was quoted as saying.

Bhumi herself enlisted the help of locals at the location and learnt knitting for a sequence in the song. "The lady who applied mehndi on my palms for the film, taught me how to knit. I soon got the hang of it," she said. Bhumi also gave the shot in a single take.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ is scheduled to hit screens ahead of Independence Day on August 11.
