Akshay Kumar turns producer with Hari Om productions
Akshay Kumar is one of the top actors of today's times. He has delivered three back to back successes in 2007 and this year too he has a number of big banner films. Now the actor has decided to turn producer and will be producing films under his banner Hari Om Productions.
Many actors like Shahrukh, Aamir, Saif, Sanjay Dutt etc have turned producers and are producing several films under their own banners. Now Akshay Kumar too has decided to follow the same route and will launch his production house Hari Om Productions under which he will be producing different kind of films. Akshay confirmed that he was turning producer and said "I think it's finally time that I took the leap. The past 18 years in the industry have been a great learning experience and I think I have enough knowledge to attempt my own production house." Akshay is looking forward to the role of a producer as he wants to provide world class cinema in India.
Akshay is keen to give newcomers a chance in his productions; he wants to rope in new talent in the form of new directors as well as actors. Akshay's first film under his banner will be directed by a new director. Akshay himself began his career in bollywood working with several new directors and hence he is keen to promote new talent. Akki says "I think it's only fair we give deserving talent a fair chance. It's my way of giving back something to the film industry." Akshay Kumar will be seen in a number of films this year, after doing of a slew comedy films he will once again be returning to action films. He will be seen in Chandini Chowk to China Town, Singh is King, Blue, Kambhaqt Ishq etc.
