Akshay Kumar spends time with mother Aruna Bhatia in London

Akshay Kumar, who is basking in the joy of ‘Mission Mangal’ success, has shared a touching photo in which he is seen walking down the streets of London with his wheel-chair bound mother. The mother-son duo is engaged in a light conversation.

The actor was casually dressed in a T-shirt, track pants and donned a cap.Sharing the video, he wrote, “Juggled shoot to spend a few days with mom in London. No matter how busy you are with life and growing up, don’t forget they are also growing old...so spend time with them while you still can.”

Akki’s video received several loving comments.“Love u paaa gii,” one person wrote. “Proud of you Akki sir,” wrote another.

Akshay is a fitness freak and in his recent post, he applauded his mother for insisting he eat healthy. “Growing up I was always inclined towards sports & my mom ensured I got nutritious home-cooked meals to fuel my passion,” he wrote alongside the picture.

On International Yoga Day, the actor shared a picture of his mother doing yoga, despite a recent knee surgery. He captioned the post, “Sharing something I’m extremely proud of...post her knee surgery at the age of 75, my mother started doing yoga and now it is part of daily routine, improving one day at a time.”

"Mother's Day is every day! Not a single day passes by when I don't make my mom feel like the most important mother in the world, just like my son does with my wife," says the Special 26 actor, adding, "the bond between a mother and her son is so strong yet so gentle ... nothing could come between us, no amount of miles or continents can keep us from letting each other know every day that I would be nothing and no one without her."

Akshay’s mother Aruna Bhatia is full of praise for her two children, Akshay and Alka. She once said, "My daughter is like no other. Alka has made me feel loved and cherished every day of her life. For her, it's always her family first," says an emotional Aruna, adding, "I have been blessed with the kindest children any mother could ask for. I have never felt lonely since the day they came along, and I've never felt as proud of anything."

On the work front, Akshay's ‘Mission Mangal’ is going strong at the box office in India and nearing towards 200 crore club.
