When Akshay cried in front of wife Twinkle

Akshay Kumar is no ordinary Indian male. With a towering height of 6 ft 1 inch and weighing almost 80 kgs, he is an epitome of great strength, stability and endurance. In a recent shooting schedule in Delhi , for his upcoming movie ‘Boss’ the actor was in a rather sentimental mood. Delhi is very close to the actor’s heart because he had spent his childhood days there and to be in Delhi again  must have brought back the memories of the struggles he battled everyday to become the ‘Khiladi’ of today.

Born in Amritsar he has a natural grit which has helped him to undertake the long journey from Chadni Chowk to Bangkok and then to Bollywood. A student of Don Bosco Mumbai, he earned his ‘black belt’, in Taekwondo style of martial arts from India and went on to Thailand to learn higher levels of martial arts.

Those were his days of struggle when he used to street fight for extra money. Akshay worked as a chef and waiter in a Bangkok hotel and even washed dishes to provide for himself. In an interview the macho man said that while in Bangkok recently, he saw the small room he lived in and the memory was quite heart rendering. It appeared that the bygone days are still fresh in his mind and they surface in some unwarranted moment.

He returned to Mumbai, where he taught martial arts and it was perhaps a twist of fate that one of his students who was a photographer recommended him to take up modelling. The dynamic personality of this Amritsar born man has helped him to don different character roles. Beside his Kailadi sequence of films, he has been also successful in comedy films like ‘Heera Pheri’, ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’, ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, and ‘Garam Masala’ (2005), the latter earning him the Filmfare Award, for Best Comedian.

Besides acting, Akshay Kumar has worked as a stunt man and often performed many dangerous stunts in his films, and he is nicknamed the "Indian Jackie Chan". In 2008 his television debut as the host of the show ‘Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi’ was both jaw dropping and breath taking.

No wonder this man could not show his weaker side to his wife Twinkle and son Aarav. The son has always looked upon the father as a role model of immense power and little wonder that our hero had to keep back his tears from wife and child though he felt like it while he visited the old place and nostalgia grasped him.
