Aishwarya Rai invests Rs 1 cr in air purifier startup Ambee

Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with her mother Vrinda Rai invested Rs 1 crore in Bengaluru based enviroment startup Ambee. The mother-daughter duo has reportedly invested Rs 50 lakh each in Ambee, which uses data to measures metrics like air quality.

Investors like Rajan Anandanalso invested Rs 3.22 crore in the startup. Ambee was started in 2017 by automotive engineer Joshi, lawyer Jaideep Singh and data scientist Madhusudan Anand.

Several actors from Bollywood have invested in startups. Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Akshay Kumar are few names.

Priyanka Chopra reportedly invested in dating app Bumble India while Alia Bhatt invsted in fashion technology startup StyleCracker and Akshay Kumar in California-based fitness technology startup GOQii.

Deepika Padukone reportedly invested in Drum Foods International, the maker of the yogurt brand Epigamia. Lately, Bollywood actor and producer Suniel Shetty invested in Pune-based fitness and nutrition startup Squats.
