Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to star opposite Ram Charan Teja

According to the latest grapevine, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has signed Mani Ratnam’s untitled bilingual film. If Aishwarya signed on the dotted lines then this would be Ash and Mani Ratnam’s fourth film together. The former beauty queen has made her acting debut with Ratnam's political drama ‘Iruvar’ alongside superstar Mohanlal in 1997 and since then there is no turning back.

Later she starred in Mani Ratman’s blockbuster movies ‘Guru’ and ‘Raavan’.

A source was quoted as saying, "Yes, Aishwarya and Mani Ratnam are doing a film together. It's a romantic drama, which will be a bilingual and will be made in Hindi and Tamil. The two were in talks for a film for years and it's finally happening."

Speculation is rife that Ash might star opposite Ram Charan Teja in the bilingual movie to be made in Hindi and Tamil because for a long time Ram Charan Teja and Mani Ratnam are willing to work together.

“Mani Ratnam told me once when we met. We were planning to work in a film but that couldn’t happen. Then he told me just one thing: ‘You are a big star and you don’t have to worry about the market too, then why do you think from the perspective of sales. My film with you will be a different film in your career. Though it won’t give you much collection it would surely give you a name. So think about the subjects you choose in the future projects.’ This was the seed he planted in my mind and maybe the seed is the reason why Dhruva came today,” Ram Charan had said at Dhruva’s success meet earlier this year”.

Insiders revealed that the ace filmmaker is keen to rope in Ram Charan and Aishwarya for his next project however nothing has been finalized yet.
