Aishwarya Rai Bachchan congratulates PM Modi

Former beauty queen and Bollywood actress showered praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his revolutionary move. Praising PM Modi, she said that our PM has taken a very strong move to wipe up corruption.

"As a citizen, honestly I will say congratulations Mr Prime Minister. You have gone ahead with a very strong move for your larger plan to wipe out corruption in our country and that's the larger overview we as a country need to recognize. Change is not always comfortable, everyone will find their way to embrace it if they focus on the larger picture," the 43-year-old actor told NDTV.

Apart from Aishwarya, Aamir Khan, Anupam Kher and many other Bollywood celebrities showered praise on Narendra Modi for the demonetization move.

The discontinuation of old Rs. 500 and 1000 currency notes might have caused inconvenience to the citizens but Aamir Khan appealed the people to see the brighter side of it and its long term affect.

While speaking at the song launch event of his upcoming film ‘Dangal’, Aamir Khan made this remark. When media asked Aamir whether he faced any problems in returning Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes to the bank, the actor jokingly admitted that he remained unaffected by the move since he hardly had any cash. He added that he always pays his taxes on time and that the Government’s decision did not impact him at all.

After banning the 500 and 1000 currency notes, new 500 and 2000 currency notes came into circulation.
