...Ex-Miss World Aishwarya's face appeared on the front Page of "Times", an American popular magazine, which elated Aishwarya to monumental heights. Ash who turned 30 this November was in news recently for Gurinder Chaddha's 'Bride and Prejudice'. She was the first prominent Bollywood figure to head the member of jury in Cannes Film Festival. It was a matter of honor that somebody so young headed one of the most prestigious film festivals.
The Cannes Film Festival was flooded with adulation for Aishwarya's magical performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Devdas'. This movie glorified the versatility of Ash's persona. Aishwarya created magic with her beautiful face, which was clubbed with tons of acting talents. Ash was the hottest newsmakers of the tinsel town for many good reasons. Gurinder Chaddha's 'Bride and Prejudice' was the talk of the town where Aishwarya portrays the character of a typical Indian woman (Lalita), who breaks the shackles of society. Ash was excited when American press honored her. Aishwarya will also be seen in Raj Kumar Santoshi 'Khakee' where she is paired opposite Akshay Kumar. 'Khakee' is a multistarrer, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar. It was her first working experience with a stalwart like Raj Kumar Santoshi as she finds her role in 'Khakee' challenging.
Aishwarya was delighted working in Hollywood, as she hopes to maintain balance between Hollywood and Bollywood. Ash was supposed to play female lead in Bhansali's forthcoming 'Baajirao Mastani' but she was replaced by her archrival Kareena Kapoor. She was not upset with her exclusion and hopes to work with Bhansali in his next venture though. Aishwarya, the queen of young hearts the world over, plays the important female lead In 'Choker Bali', a Bengali film which is based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel. She plays the character of a widow named Binodini who quests for love in life. A challenging and promising role, which could make Ash an immortal name. Let's hope that lady luck shines bright in Ash' future.
