Ahead of Cannes visit, Aishwarya Rai tells fashion police to troll away

The Cannes Film Festival has started with the opening ceremony held on Tuesday night, May 11. Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who will be completing 15 years of going to the prestigious film fest in 2016, is yet to select her outfits for the outing.

The 42-year-old actress is least bothered about the fashion police and is prepared to be trolled for her wardrobe. “you guys can troll me as much as you want,” she says challengingly. Aishwarya is extremely busy gearing up for her forthcoming release ‘Sarbjit’, and therefore couldn’t pick out a dress.

"Cannes Film Festival is two days away and I still don't know what I am wearing. You guys can troll me as much as you want but the fact is I have just been too busy," the ‘Jazbaa’ actress said in a candid chat on #fame – live video social platform.

Aishwarya is among the several celebrities who represent cosmetic giant L’Oreal at the prestigious event. She is slated to walks the red carpet as L’Oreal brand ambassador on May 13 and 14.

The main event of the 12-day fest may be about cinema, but beauty and fashion hogs the limelight. Aishwarya, who debuted at Cannes in 2002 with her film ‘Devdas’ has had her share of fashion disasters, but in recent times she has managed to earn appreciations for her choice of wardrobe and sense of style.

Aishwarya's fellow L'Oreal ambassador Sonam Kapoor will saunter on the red carpet on May 15 and 16.

Meanwhile, Mallika Sherawat became the first Indian celebrity to be spotted at the 69th Cannes Film Festival. She attended the opening ceremony in in a Georges Hobeika dress.
