Aditya Chopra to launch Sunny Deol’ son Karan in YRF next
Aditya Chopra showed keen interest to launch Sunny Deol’s 21 year-old son Karan Deol, popularly known as Rocky in Yash Raj banner movie. Like any newcomers, Karan won’t be bound by three films deal contract and he will have full freedom to walk away after doing one film.
“Aditya Chopra
expressed his desire to launch Karan and a deal has been cracked. Karan is not
bound by contract and will feature in one film, unlike other newbies who have
to sign a three-film deal,” a source told a Mumbai tabloid.
Sunny Deol and Yash Raj Films had a showdown during the filming of ‘Darr’. In
the blockbuster, Sunny Deol played the hero and Shahrukh Khan the villain.
Despite portraying a negative role, Shahrukh stole all the limelight and Sunny was
left unnoticed. Sunny was angry that Shahrukh was given much priority and due to which
there was a big showdown between late Yash Chopra and Sunny Deol.
But let bygones be bygones and now both the sides have
decided to start afresh. After the death of Yash Chopra, Sunny and Aditya Chopra have met and patched up.
Digging the past, Yash Raj honcho has even bought the music rights of Yamla Pagla Deewana 2
starring all the three Deols.
Acting has come very quickly to Karan Deol. He too cherish
Bollywood dream like his family but he wanted to study every aspect of
filmmaking at first before venturing into acting. He was assisting his father
in ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana 2’ when Karan received an offer from Yash Raj banner.
