ADHM: Anushka-Ranbir celebrate split in 'The Breakup Song'
The much-talked-about ‘The Breakup Song’ from Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ released on Thursday, and it is a full on fun track. Karan shared the song on his Twitter handle with a very interesting caption.
“Celebrating break up is the new cool! Here’s the #TheBreakupSong http://t.co/qeBLhwB20I @AnushkaSharma #Ranbir @DharmaMovies,” the director wrote.
Anushka Sharma also tweeted, “Come dance your heart out with Ayan & Alizeh!!! Celebrate #TheBreakupSong #ADHM @karanjohar #RanbirKapoor.”
It is a scintillating party track that will at once make one hit the dance floor and start grooving. The video features Anushka and Ranbir Kapoor with headphones on, celebrating breakup by dancing their heart out in what seems to be a discotheque. The duo, who play the characters of Alizeh and Ayan respectively, display great chemistry and combined with superb moves and expressions. The video also shows a glimpse of Lisa Haydon.
The song has been composed by Pritam and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, while Arijit Singh, Jonita Gandhi and Nakash Aziz have sung it. There is also a rap section by Badshah. It is the fourth song to be released after the title track, followed by sufi rock ‘Bulleya’ and ‘Channa Mereya’. However, it doesn’t quite match up to the standards of the previous songs.
