Actor Aman Verma gets engaged to girlfriend Vandana Lalwani

Actor Aman Verma who was in limelight due to his stint in the ongoing season of reality show ‘Bigg Boss 9’, is back in the news with reports of his recent engagement with his long time girlfriend Vandana Lalwani.

Aman and Vandana reportedly got engaged in a private ceremony attended by only family members at Aman’s Delhi residence on December 14. Although, an official announcement is yet to be made, pictures of the duo exchanging rings and posing with elders are being circulated on the Internet suggesting that they have indeed got engaged.

Vandana is also an actress who has featured in television dramas like ‘Bitto’, ‘Kesariya Balam Aavo Hamare Des’, ‘Buddha’ and ‘Savdhaan India’.

Aman is a private person and the couple plans to tie the knot soon in a low-key ceremony, but will throw a grand reception in Mumbai afterwards, according to reports.

Aman never mentioned about Vandana during his stay at the Bigg Boss house. It was only when all the housemates received Diwali gifts from their loved ones, that Aman broke down and audience came to know about his girlfriend. On one occasion when host Salman Khan teased him that he was missing his girlfriend, the 44-year-old actor nodded with shy smile on his face.

Although Aman was involved in a casting couch controversy in 2005, he was never linked with any actress so far, nor did his personal life made any fodder for gossip columns.

The only time he publicly spoke about his love life was in the Bigg Boss house during a conversation with Mandana Karimi and Rochelle Rao. He had said that he felt not marrying his first girlfriend in Mumbai was a mistake. He further added that had he married her, his life would have been different.

Aman's six-week stint on the show was much appreciated by the audience. His calm and sensible nature was appreciated by host Salman Khan who made it a point to praise his calm disposition. It came as a shock not only to Aman and the viewers, but also to Salman, when he was eliminated on November 22.
