Accident on the set of Salman Khan's 'Kick'

Kickstarring Salman Khan and produced and directed by Sajid Nadiawala went to the floors and shooting started on 27th July. The director – producer had chosen the Scottish city of Glasgow to shoot the film. He chose it over other perennial favorites like London because he wanted to present a city to the Indian audience which they have never seen before. Moreover, Glasgow has a rich historical atmosphere which would suit the film well. The crew of the film was taking extra caution so as not to disrupt the regular lives and businesses of the locals. However, misfortune struck almost as soon as the shooting began.

Randip Hooda, who is playing an important role in the film, was shooting an action sequence. It is a car chase sequence and there was a lot of excitement in the unit. In the midst of this rather dangerous stunt, the car went out of control and crashed into a historic building. A source told a leading website, "It was the second day of the shoot and everyone was excited about the high intensity action sequence. However, the timing wasn't coordinated well, and that's the reason the car rolled out of control."

No one was injured in the shoot. However, it is reported that the Glasgow authorities will probably be demanding damages from the film unit. On the other hand, the film unit is making the most efforts not to disturb the city or its people.

Kicks stars Salman Khan and Jacquelyn Fernandez in the lead roles. Apart from them, Randip Hooda, Arjun Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty and Mahesh Manjrekar will also be seen in the film. The film is a remake of the Telugu film of the same name. However, the other actors including the lead actors have not yet reached Britain.

Accidents seem to be dogging the films of Bollywood in the recent days. Hrithik Roshan suffered from injury on the head during the shooting of his film Bang Bang and had to be operated upon because he had sustained a subdural hematoma. Shahrukh Khan had to undergo treatment for his shoulder injury that he sustained during the shooting of Chennai Express. Now it is the Kicks by Salman Khan which has joined the ranks of accident. However, the crew is being extra cautious now to avoid any other accidents during the shooting.
