Aayush Sharma, Warina Hussain’s debut film is 'Loveyatri' not 'Loveratri'

After legal notice, Salman Khan’s productional venture ‘Loveratri’ starring debutantes Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain changed the title of the film. The love story is now named ‘Loveyatri’. Last evening, Salman Khan took to his social media account and informed that development without citing any reason of the change. The 52-year-old captioned a new poster of the film, "This is not a spelling mistake... Loveyatri”.

Though Salman has not cited any reason for the title change, it is learnt that Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) protested against the film's title alleging that the title of the film ‘LOveratri’ hurts the Hindu sentiments as it is related to a Hindu festival. Later, a petition was filed against the film.

Of the controversy, Salman earlier told PTI, "Some people, I don't know who they are, have some problem with title of the film. It is a beautiful title. There is nothing more beautiful than love, so it is called Loveratri. It is not demeaning any culture."

"We are making the film with Navaratri in the backdrop. We have made this beautiful film celebrating the music, colour, love and the fun of the festive season. We don't need any publicity like that. Once the film is released those people will know there is nothing," Salman added.

It is a love story cooked up in Gujarat and later travelled to London. Warina Hussain, an NRI fell in love with desi boy Aayush Sharma during her trip to Gujarat during Navratri. Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy also play pivotal roles in ‘Loveyatri’.

‘Loveyatri’, directed by Abhiraj Minawala, releases on October 5 and is produced by Salman's mother Salma Khan.
