AAP leader Kumar Vishwas offered 5 crore for ‘Bigg Boss’

AAP leader Kumar Vishwas who is also a poet and has penned many poems for Hindi cinema has been approached by Endemol, the makers of Bigg Boss to appear in the popular reality show. It is heard that Kumar Vishwas was offered Rs 5 crore for the show and according to an insider, he has given his nod.

This is not the first time any politician is taking part in the reality show. In the past, congress MP Sanjay Nirupam took part in 2008 but was eliminated after a short stint. Kumar Vishwas confirmed the news that he has been approached for Bigg Boss.

In the Lok Sabha elections this year, Kumar contested from Amethi against BJP's Smriti Irani and Congress' Rahul Gandhi. He was badly defeated bagging only 25,527 votes while Rahul got the majority share of 408,651 votes and BJP's Smriti Irani gave a tough fight to Rahul by winning with 300,748 votes.

Vishwas has attributed his new-found popularity to his confrontation with Rahul Gandhi. "It is a fact that certain sections which did not take me seriously were forced to sit up and notice when I decided to contest against Rahul Gandhi. My campaign in Amethi was covered by international media and voters had started asking Rahul some uncomfortable questions," the daily has quoted his as saying.

Kumar Vishwas has got another reason to rejoice. Ace singer Asha Bhosle will be lending her voice to one of the songs written by him.

Another feather on Vishwas’s hat is that Google has invited Vishwas to give a lecture on leadership to its employees at its headquarters in Silicon Valley on July 29, said a report published in The Economic Times. He will give lecture on 'changing mood of Asian political upbringings' at the Stanford University in California, said the report.
