Aamir Khan, wife Kiran Rao and daughter Ira cast their vote

Aamir Khan with his wife Kiran Rao and daughter Ira arrived at their voting centre in Bandra and casted their vote. Kiran was first to cast her vote, followed by Aamir’s daughter Ira and then Aamir Khan voted. After casting their vote, the Aamir and Kiran posed for the media and flaunted their inked finger. The perfectionist was dressed in maroon tee and donned a cap.

On his last 54th birthday, Aamir urged all to cast their valuable vote, "Since it's the election year, I wish the people of India, the biggest democracy should go and vote. They should all vote and make the elections a success."

Aamir also urged the election commission to make provision for people working and staying abroad to exercise their rights from abroad. He said, "There are a lot of people who live/work outside of India and wish to vote, but they can't. Or many people who are unwell and can't reach the ballot, the election commission should think of a solution for those people, as they deserve the opportunity. I don't know what the solution is but we should think of them."

Aamir Khan also asked the first-time voters to think conscientiously before casting their vote. "I can't tell people how or whom they should vote for, but I can tell to look for their mudda (cause). What is that one thing that matters to them the most and then if the person in their constituency matches that, plese go ahead and vote."
