Aamir Khan suffers major injury during ‘Dangal’ shooting

Perfectionist Aamir Khan is sweating out for playing the iconic role of a wrestler in his next venture, ‘Dangal’ in Ludhiana and the actor sustained a major shoulder injury while performing an action sequence. While performing a hard-core scene, he collapsed on the sets at the Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana on November 14 and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

The actor was shooting in Ludhiana for the last 40 days. "Aamir had been filming a long action sequence that required multiple takes from different angles. When he slumped during the final take, the unit thought he had pulled a muscle. He was in excruciating pain even after half an hour of rest and ice packs. He couldn't even stand up. He was then rushed to the hospital where it was diagnosed that he had suffered a serious shoulder injury," the actor's spokesperson has been quoted as saying in a Mumbai Mirror report.

The perfectionist of Bollywood is flying down to Mumbai for further treatment.

Based on the life of legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters who are wrestlers too, the movie also features Sakshi Tanwar, Rajkumar Rao and Gautam Gulati.

It is slated to release during Christmas next year.
