Aamir Khan meets Arnold Schwarzenegger

The vast film loving public of India lavishes praise and hero worship one of the leading stars of Bollywood, Aamir Khan. But even Mr. perfectionist Khan can have a fan moment. And that is just what happened when he happened to meet the Hollywood star of Terminator fame and current Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Both Aamir Khan and Arnold Schwarzenegger were in Delhi to attend to a leadership summit organized by the Hindustan Times. This is not the first time that the Hollywood superstar visited India. In fact, he was recently in the country to grace the music launch event of Vikram’s ‘I’. Apparently Aamir had expressed a desire to meet the Hollywood star. The staff at the hotel informed Schwarzenegger who directly walked into Aamir’s room.

An excited Aamir took to Twitter to talk about the incident. He posted, “Hey guys! Guess who I met?”

'I told the HT staff I wish I could meet him. So they told him. And he just walked in to my room!!! He's really cool. Very warm and friendly. It was a bizarre feeling! I looked up when the door opened and I see THE TERMINATOR walking into my room!' he continued.

It was a real fan moment for the Bollywood actor. Instead of embarking on any serious conversation regarding the society or even films – something which is routinely expected of Mr Perfectionist, Aamir could only gush like a true fan and told Arnold that he had read his book on bodybuilding “many times over”. Schwarzenegger replied “I can see that” and nudged his biceps. Aamir had previously said that Arnold’s book titled ‘The New Encyclopaedia of Modern Bodybuilding’ is like “the bible to me”. Though an elated Aamir did not take a selfie with his idol, he did request the hotel staff to click a photo of himself with the Terminator actor on his cell phone.

Schwarzenegger too was lavish in his praise of Aamir. He wrote, 'It was fantastic to meet you! You’re a real star, w/ success at the box office and all the awards.'

Aamir Khan expressed admiration for an established actor. He wrote, “I’m a huge fan! And I love him not only for his body, but also for his movies. I think he’s an underrated actor!”

Later, a similar fan moment was experienced by actress Shilpa Shetty who ran into not only Schwarzenegger but also Sylvester Stallone when she was visiting Macau to watch a boxing match with her husband Raj Kundra.
