Aamir Khan has a smart tactic to ask his guests to leave!
A couple of years back, Karan Johar had called Aamir Khan a “party destroyer” on his chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’. KJo said that Aamir would either segment the party and take it to one corner, or move it to his house.
Now, Aamir has revealed that whenever he wants to wrap up his party, he simply tells his guests to leave. But he does it in a way without sounding rude, and has a special line to convey guests that the party is over. The actor says that he simply stands up and tells his guests, ‘It was great meeting you all’, which should be interpreted as, ‘Bye. Please go home now!’
Aamir said that he learnt this thing from his filmmaker uncle Nasir Hussain, "One thing I have learnt from him and imbibed. We all, the kids, used to sit and eat in his room. He was very fond of us. But when it would be his time to sleep, he would signal at us by saying, 'It was great meeting you all'.
The actor was speaking at the launch of the filmmaker’s biography titled ‘Music Masti Modernity: The Cinema of Nasir Husain’. “Every time he would want to show that he had enough of the guests, he would say this line," Aamir added.
"This is one dialogue I use it in my life. Whenever Kiran (wife Kiran Rao) and I have guests over at our place and I feel like it's enough... I just say, 'It was great meeting you all'. That's a way of saying, 'Bye! Please go home!'," the actor said leaving the audience in splits.
The 51-year-old actor threw the line again while leaving the event, as he was getting late for his flight.
Aamir will be next seen in Nitesh Tiwari-directed ‘Dangal’, a biopic of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who coached his daughters Gita and Babita as Indian women wrestling champions. The trailer of the film has released and Aamir is receiving accolades for his portrayal of the Haryanvi wrestler Mahivir. The film is slated to release on December 23.
