Aamir Khan buys daughter Ira’s painting

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira is holding her debut art exhibition in Mumbai and the actor loved it very much. The proud father even purchased one of her black and white artworks.

The 50-year-old actor took to Twitter and proudly posted the painting from his daughter’s maiden exhibition and expressed his love for it. “My daughter Ira’s first exhibition, and I managed to buy this one. It’s called ‘The Tiger’s Nest’. I love it,” Aamir wrote on the micro-blogging site on Sunday night.

Ira is the Aamir’s daughter by his former wife Reena, with whom he also has a son named Junaid. He is currently married to filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he has a son named Azad Rao Khan.

The actor is currently shooting for his biographical sports drama ‘Dangal’ which is said to be based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Phogat, father and coach of India’s women wrestlers Geeta and Babita Kumari.

The film went on floors in Punjab’s Ludhiana in September this year and the team will be shooting in nearby villages of Gujjarwal and Kila Raipur where Rural Olympics are held every year. The film also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sheikh and Sanaya Malhotra.

‘Dangal’ is being directed by Nitish Tiwari and co-produced by Aamir Khan and Siddharth Roy Kapur. The film will hit theatres by the end of next year.
