Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan remember Deven Verma

Aamir Khan, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, veteran actress Asha Parekh condoled the death of veteran actor and noted Bollywood comedian Deven Verma. Asha Parekh remembers Deven Verma as a jovial taskmaster. "He was great fun to work with. Always full of life and ready with his deadpan humour all the time."

Aamir Khan who worked with Deven Verma in ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ said, "I am saddened to hear about the demise of Devenji. My heartfelt condolences to his family," said Aamir in a statement.

"He was a wonderful co-star. I remember on the sets of 'Andaz Apna Apna' he always had a joke on his lips and kept us all in high spirits," he added.

The actor passed away Tuesday morning in Pune following a heart attack and kidney failure. He was 78. He is survived by his wife Rupa Ganguly, younger daughter of legendary actor Ashok Kumar.

Amitabh Bachchan too remembered his close friend and shared some of his fond memories about the comic legend.
