Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar reacts to PM Modi’s vote appeal


Lok Sabha election is round the corner and Prime Minister Narendra Modi requested Bollywood celebrities to urge their fans in their own way to vote. He tagged many celebrities like Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal and many more in his vote appeal tweet.

PM tweeted in different style to different celebs.

The power of a vote is immense and we all need to improve awareness on its importance.

Thoda Dum Lagaiye aur Voting ko Ek Superhit Katha banaiye.

Replying to PM Modi's tweet and referencing Toilet: Ek Prem Katha , Akshay Kumar wrote: "Well said, PM Modi. The true hallmark of a democracy lies in people's participation in the electoral process. Voting has to be a superhit prem katha between our nation and its voters."

Soon after PM Modi's tweet, Aamir Khan wrote: "Absolutely right sir, Hon PM. Let us all engage as citizens of the biggest democracy in the world. Let us fulfill our responsibility, and avail of our right to get our voice heard. Vote!"

Tagged by PM Modi, Karan Johar also replied: "Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we as a fraternity are dedicated to the cause of creating high voter awareness and will make sure every endeavour is made to communicate the power of voting for a solid and democratic India! Jai Hind!"

PM Modi also sent out requests Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Abhishek Bachchan, Bhumi Pednekar, Ayushmann Khurrana, A R Rahman, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and others to encourage their fans to come out and vote in large numbers.

"It is time to tell them: Apna Time Aa Gaya hai and that it is time to turn up with high Josh to a voting centre near you," tweeted PM Modi, using key dialogues from Ranveer Singh’s film.
