Aadesh Srivastava’s ‘Chautha’ held at ISKCON temple


The ‘Chautha’ of music composer Aadesh Srivastava was held on September 8 at the ISKCON temple. The ace music composer breathed his last after cancer revisited him for the third time and completely ruined him. After battling against cancer for 44 days at Mumbai Koilaben hospital, Aadesh Srivastava lost his life on September 5.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is very close to Aadesh’s family tweeted about the prayer meet.

"'Chautha' for Aadesh Shrivastava at ISKCON, Juhu, tomorrow 8th Sept from 4-6 pm," Big B tweeted on Monday night.

The last rites of the composer who composed music for movies like 'Chalte Chalte', 'Baghban', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham', Raajneeti' and many more was held at the Oshiwara Crematorium in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon.

Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh, Anil Kapoor, Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik, Pandit Jasraj, Udit Narayan, Javed Ali, Kunal Ganjawala, Ismail Darbar, Shekhar Kapur and Anees Bazmee were present at the funeral.

The noted music composer and singer is survived by his wife Vijayta Pandit and two sons - Anivesh and Avitesh.
