A Gentleman trailer: Sidharth Malhotra’s dual personality is impressive

The first trailer of Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer film ‘A Gentleman’ was released on Monday. The film is touted to be a romantic action comedy wherein Sidharth plays a ‘sunder’ and ‘susheel’ guy named Gaurav who wants to get married to Jacqueline’s Kavya.

The trailer introduces Gaurav as the ‘sunder’ and ‘susheel’ guy who own a house and has everything in place and just wants to settle down. But beneath his clean persona is another ‘risky’ personality of Rishi who does all sorts of dare-devil things. Kavya is also shown as a nice girl who likes Gaurav, but wants someone like Rishi.

The almost three-minute-long trailer also shows Sunil Shetty who plays the villain, and Rajit Kapur and Supriya Pilgaonkar as Kavya’s parents. Gaurav is often mistaken for being Rishi and Sidharth has managed the pull off his alter egos with ease.

While the trailer speaks of a ‘mistaken identity’, Sidharth had earlier told reporters that he doesn’t have play a double role in the movie. Rather, he plays a man with a dual personality as he said, "One side of the character wants a simple, happy life with a nice house, family and he has a sense of humour. The other side of the character is outlandish, aggressive and one who jumps out of a 60-storey building."

‘A Gentleman’ has been directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK of ‘Go Goa Gone’ and ‘Happy Ending’ fame. The film is scheduled to releases on August 25.
