Toilet-Ek Prem Katha

The music of Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s starrer Toliet-Ek Prem Katha is out and it is a complete shocker. Going by the title, one definitely had the feeling that the music of the film would be purely situational and unromantic but the twist in the tale is that ‘Toliet-Ek Prem Katha’ has a fun-filled, romantic as well as situational tracks which will take the music to a new height.

The music of ‘Toliet-Ek Prem Katha’ was composed by Vickey Prasad, Manas-Shikhar and Sachet-Parampara. Siddharth-Garima penned the lyrics of the film. There are altogether five songs in the film and every song has its own identity and authenticity.

The first song of the film is ‘Hans Mat Pagli’, it is a free flowing song sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghosal. The combination of Sonu and Shreya’s voice added life to the song. It is a pleasant hearing and quite entertaining. It is purely desi. The track was penned by Vickey Prasad.

The second song of the film is titled ‘Bakheda’. The track was written by Vickey Prasad.  Sukhwinder and Sundhi lend their voice.It is a fun-filled number and purely desi having a North Indian feeling. Here love is compared to ‘Bakheda’. It creates a perfect mood and ambiance. The song has a feel good moment.

The third track ‘Gori Tu Latthmaar’ sung by Sonu Nigam and Palak Muchhal is situational and sends a message. It is inspired from the famous song 'Lathhmaar Braj Holi', a traditional holi song. The song has a fun moment of Radha-Krishna where women used to beat men with a symbolic 'lathh' (lathi ).

The last but not the least track ‘Subah Ki Train’ composed by Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur is another romantic purely desi outing Musical instruments like flutes, harmonica etc creates a desi ambiance with leaves a long lasting mark in one’s heart.
