Race 3

Finally, high packed action thriller ‘Race 3’ and the third instalment of the successful franchise of ‘Race’ is out for the audience to watch, cheer and grade. It has a load of actors like Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Jacqueline Fernandez, Saqib Salim, Bobby Deol and last but not the least Salman Khan. This is Salman’s 2018 Eid release and going by the past trend Salman Khan will rock the box-office this Eid too.

‘Race 3’ directed by Remo D’Souza is fast and furious. The music of the action thriller is sync with his theme. The film is not thrilling throughout. Its first half is enchanting, the curiosity and excitement drops in the second half but it again gains interest in the final phase. ‘Race 3’ is all about rivalries and greed in the family. The film also elicits laughter along with thrill.

Arms dealer Shamsher (Anil Kapoor) has a disheartening family past. He killed his own brother Sikander aka Sikku’s (Salman Khan) father. Shamsher was overthrown from his village for killing his own brother. Ruthless Shamsher decided to raise his brother’s son Sikku like his own children, Suraj ((Saqib Saleem) and Sanjana (Daisy Shah) but they never been able to accept Sikander despite Shamsher hard effort. Shamsher equally treated Sikander, Suraj and Sanjana.

However, Shamsher’s loyal (Sharat Saxena) and his son Yash (Bobby Deol) carried forward their faithfulness. An arch rival Rana (Freddy Daruwala) is always a threat to Shamsher.

Things took an ugly turn when Shamsher decided to divide his property. He gives 50% of his property to Sikandar while his real son and daughter are forced to share the remaining 50%. Parallelly a dark plot of hard disk containing the dirty sexual mischiefs of politicians has to be attained from Cambodia. Meanwhile, Jessica (Jacqueline Fernandez) has her own schedule.

‘Race 3’ writers Shiraz Ahmed and Kiran Kotrial did not offer anything innovative. The twists and turns too seem lacking in the third instalment. Remo hooked to dance, song and action and gave less importance to the storyline.

Speaking about the performances, Salman Khan is as usual top-notch. He enacted his part with sincerity and with his own style. Anil Kapoor rock in ‘Race 3’. He delivers a power-packed performance. Daisy Shah and Jacqueline Fernandez had less room to show their acting talent other than naach and gaana. Bobby Deol returned after a hiatus and he added to the plot.

In the nutshell, ‘Race 3’ is strongly recommended if you are a Salman Khan’s fans because you will get enough of the superstar.
