Scintillatingly sleek, model- cum actor Katrina Kaif was a find of the film maker Kaizad Gustad in London. Born on 16th July 1984, in Hong Kong of an Indian father and an English mother, the actress was primarily based in London. She attracted the notice of the director during one of her modelling assignments. Kaizad Gustad offered to introduce her in the film “Boom”.
Her break in the film “Boom” was a major turning point in her life. Having spent much of her childhood in Hawaii and a part of her professional life in London, the actress decided to change over to Mumbai. Her chiselled features, perfect physique and tall frame were added advantages, in bagging modelling assignments. She endorsed the beauty and the jewellery products of several brands. In 2005 she was chosen as the face of the year by Lakme.
Though her European accent was a major drawback, she managed to bag a minor role opposite Abhishek Bachhan in the film “Sarkar”.
