Fame and glamour could not elude her too long when in 2005 noted film director Anurag Basu discovered her and offered her an important role in the film Gangster. The film released in 2006 and was appreciated by both the critics as well as by the public. Innumerable awards including a National Award won by Kangna bear testimony to the actress’s versatility and acting prowess.
