In Kangna Ranawat we have yet another story of a Bollywood actress who had initially aspired to become a model. Born to Aasha Ranawat and Amardeep Ranawat of Himachal Pradesh, Kangna completed her secondary education from DAV School based in Chandigarh. Having joined the Government College for only a couple of months, she left for Delhi in 2003 with the intention of becoming a model. She got herself enrolled in a reputed modelling agency over there.

Born in the year 1987 on 20th March the frizzy haired girl with a glowing complexion has always dreamt of making it to the world of glamour and showbiz. Her career in acting took off with theatre when she joined a Delhi based theatre group. She hit the stage with Girish Karnad’s play Rakt-Kalyan.

Glamour of the celluloid motivated her to take a crash course in acting, she was trained by Aasha Chandra for three months. Fame and glamour could not elude her too long when in 2005 noted film director Anurag Basu discovered her and offered her an important role in the film Gangster. The film released in 2006 and was appreciated by both the critics as well as by the public. Innumerable awards including a National Award won by Kangna bear testimony to the actress’s versatility and acting prowess. With her performance in Who Lamhe, Fashion and Life in a Metro she proved her grit and depth in acting. All her roles in the mentioned movies made her immensely popular.

On screen Kangna Ranawat gels well with Emraan Hashmi. Her brief off screen romance with Adhyayan Suman attracted much media glare.
