Rathinirvedam (Malayalam: ) is an upcoming Malayalam--language coming--of--age film, written by late P. Padmarajan, directed by TK Rajeev Kumar, and produced by Suresh Kumar under the banner of Revathy Kalamandhir. The film is a remake of 1978 Malayalam film of the same name, written by Padmarajan, directed by Bharathan, and produced by Hari Pothen in the banner of Supriya Films.[The film stars Shweta Menon in the role of Rathi, and Sreejith in the role of Pappu.The film started its principal production on 8 February 2011 and the major portions is being filmed at Mavelikkara. It is slated for a release on June first week.
