The film is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films and is directed by Kabir Khan. The film began filming in New York and Philadelphia, United States in September 2008. New York will be the first release of 2009 from the Yash Raj Films and is bound to attract even more attention. New York, a romantic thriller is based on international terrorism and set in New York. John, Katrina and Neil play three friends discovering a new world. One day the world around them changes completely and they realize that the common thread between them is their religion.
