A message from Nandita Das, indian actress and activist. The message is part of the project "A Message From Indian Women" realized by Paolo G Sulpasso. The project consists of a serie of messages shot in India and Italy from May to September 2005. The protagonists are Indian women who, in spite of their different occupations, have in common a strong social commitment: Mahasweta Devi (writer, activist), Vandana Shiva (physicist, ecologist, activist), Nandita Das (actress, activist), Vrinda Dar (economist, committed in sustainable development projects). These messages urge to a daily action inspired by values of respect, solidarity, creativity, freedom. A daily action directed to a change that must of necessity start from ourselves and then reach a global level. The thirteen messages are the first production of a project aiming to bring out the basic values of the grassroots movements" in India.
