Description This is a particular favorite rabindra sangeet of mine. The song has been used in the movie Paromitar Ek Din (directed by Aparna Sen) while portraying a deep emotional scene. The song is sung by Jayashree Dasgupta, and Shohini Haldar plays the part of this abnormal epileptic character whose inner self comes into the fore front when she sings. Also worth mentioning is that Sohini is the daughter of the fiery bengali stage personality Rudraprasad Sengupta of Nandikar, and wife of Gautam Haldar, also part of the same theater group.
