    Yesteryear actress passed away on Sunday, 24 September at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai after suffering a heart attack. Padmini was born in Thiruvananthapuram on July 12 1932 and she died at the age of 74 years. This yesteryear actress began her career in 1949 with the Hindi film 'Kalpana'.

Description Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai (Hindi: , Urdu: ) is a 1960 Hindi film directed by Radhu Karmakar. The film stars Raj Kapoor, Pran and Padmini. The team of Shankar Jaikishan wrote music for the film, which includes the hit songs penned by Shahryar [1]: "O Basanti", "Jis desh men ganga behti hai" and "Aa ab lout chalen".
