With the theme Return to Roots, the showings intended to focus on rural Bengali weavers and reviving traditional designs. For the first time, traditional handloom weavers from different parts of Bengal showcased their work. Big names associated with the Kolkata Fashion Week include designers like Wendell Rodricks, Shane and Falguni Peacock, Rohit Bal.And celebrities like John Abraham, Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia, Riya and Raima Sen.
