Deepika Padukones recent visit to the Cannes festival, her first major international appearance, caught the attention of none other than filmmaker Woody Allen. Buzz is that the lissome actress, who looked resplendent in a Rohit Bal saree, was being coveted by several Hollywood agents at Cannes. A friend of Deepika says, Many Hollywood agents sent her messages, directly and indirectly, that they would like to be appointed by her if she was keen on Hollywood assignments. It was one of these agents who texted her that Woody Allen would like to meet her. Deepika was obviously thrilled. But she couldnt extend her stay due to prior work commitments in India. She couldnt have a meeting with any of these agents, adds Deepikas friend. Commenting on Deepikas reaction to these offers, her friend adds, Its too early to say what will happen next. Deepika created quite a buzz at Cannes. If a concrete Hollywood offer comes along, well and good. She would definitely consider it.
