"It was a great honour watching it with Presidentji," said the humble Oscar winner, much celebrated genius. Oscar winner lyricist Gulzar spoke of being conscious all the while as the film was being screened in the presence of President Pratibha Patil. "One is not so much into the screening and what unfolds on screen as one is all the while acutely conscious that the President is present in the room," Gulzar said in a matter-of-fact manner. Oscar winner sound designer Resul Pookutty said, "It's a great honour to see the film with the President." The Oscar winning trio was present in the Presidential House with others who are rarely seen in public. One such person was AR Rahman's wife Saira. Rahman reflected that the film has made him look at India through new eyes. "The film actually reminds us again and again that there is still a lot to do for the lives of people who are underprivileged in the country. Seeing that today, reminded me of it even more. I had not noticed many things while I was scoring for the movie," Rahman said. It looks like music runs in the Rahman family.
