...a pilot in the film, saves Preity Zinta in a bus accident. After the usual tiffs, the two fall in love. Shahrukh plays a perfect guide and shows her around the beautiful Punjab. He is then compelled to drop her at the border where Preity fiancé Manoj Bajpai awaits her. Shahrukh is then arrested by Pakistan police. While jailed, Shahrukh keeps mum. Two years pass by and Shahrukh has revealed nothing till human rights activist Rani Mukherjee takes up his case and compels him to reveals his story. The climax is a courtroom drama. Rumor is that the title of Yash Chopra's next is Veer Dara.
