When Bollywood stars meet cricketers

The love saga of Bollywood stars and cricketers did not start with T20. In fact, the foundation stone has been laid long back in 1968 when captain of Indian cricket team Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan married to the yesteryears actress Sharmila Tagore. After them, many stars and cricketers happened to meet each other, found love and created love history. Though they come from two different arenas, the common identical factors that join them are their status, money, name and fame. The relationship between cricket and Bolly stars are age-old. Some bondings are short-lived while some tied for life time.
Cricketers and Bollywood stars are like two sides of the same coin. They enjoy each other’s company since they belong to the same world of glitz and glamour. They are media’s two favorite contrasting couple; happen to cross each other’s path very often. Their popularity in the market is almost the same and they are sold with the same price tag. All those matching factors combine them. They shine in the same sky and breathe in the same air of stardom. Cricket is the medium that brings them closer and gradually they develop a fondness for each other. The journey of the stars from the pavilion to the heart of their champions is filled with interesting and juicy stories. Another pair that accumulated much popularity during that period for their love story was West Indies cricketer Vivian Richard and actress Neeta Gupta. Though their relationship was ephemeral and vanished in the darkness before they reached their final destination, their names been cited whenever the association of these two odd types of mishmash erupts.
Cricketers and film stars merely merged into one. Both are hungry for name and fame. They seek each other help for promotion and other activities. The recent example is Priyanka Chopra and Sreesanth. They together played a tricky game, fooled the world for promoting a product and later made a clear breast of their dealings. Parties, functions, business, fashion, ramp are the occasions where they coincides and gets an opportunity to peep into each others heart. In one such occasion, Deepika Padukone came close to Yuvraj Singh, hanged around, went for romantic candle night dinner and given a scope for the media to squeeze juicy stories about them. Whether it is Riya Sen with Yuvraj, Deepika with Mahendra Singh Dhoni or Sameera Reddy with Ishant Sharma, no doubt, media always gets benefited with this unique entangled.
Today, Bollywood stars went a step further. They get to purchase their favorite players at a whopping price. Shahrukh, Preity jumped into the game of bat and ball and opened a new episode of cricket and entertainment. If this process goes extra miles, we will definitely get to taste the chemistry of some new Bollywood and cricket jodis in near future.
