When Amitabh Bachchan felt like Leonardo DiCaprio in ‘Titanic’

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has in a lighter vein compared his picture of sailing a boat in the Hoogly River with Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio in 1997 movie ‘Titanic’.

The 73-year-old actor has shared screen with Leonardo in his Hollywood debut film ‘The Great Gatsby’ in 2013. Big B is currently shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Te3N’ in Kolkata.

The ‘Piku’ actor shared a few pictures of him on the boat in the Hoogly River from the shoot on his official blog and compared them to Leonardo in ‘Titanic’.

“That is like Leonardo DiCaprio of Titanic at the helm of the boat, secure that nothing shall strike the hull or the bow of this one with the devastating ice berg… Why? Because the Hoogly does not possess qualities to produce ice bergs!” he wrote on his blog, and added, “That was like the most sickly humour of the decade!!”

The shooting of ‘Te3N’ kick-started in Kolkata late last month and is being directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, who had earlier directed Amitabh Bachchan in the television drama ‘Yudh’. Big B’s previous film ‘Piku’ was also extensively shot in Kolkata.

The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a prominent role while Vidya Balan will make a cameo appearance in the role of a cop.

Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh who has previously worked with Nawazuddin and Vidya in 2012 film ‘Kahaani’, is the creative producer of the film.

Amitabh Bachchan will be soon seen in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s production titled ‘Wazir’ alongside Farhan Akhtar. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, the film is slated to release on January 8, 2016.
