Western Union to promote Ramesh Sippy’s ‘Taxi No 9211’


Western Union, a global leader in money transfer has tied up with UTV’s International Distribution Division in the UK for the promotion of Ramesh Sippy’s forthcoming film ‘Taxi No. 9211’ releasing on February 24. This is a unique tie-up, as it’s the first time a money transferring administration will be promoting a Bollywood film.
Taxi No. 9211 is a UTV Motion Pictures release, which is directed by Milan Luthria. The star cast includes John Abraham, Nana Patekar, Sameera Reddy and Sonali Kulkarni. Taxi no 9211 is about two people, John and Nana, with completely opposite personalities. It tells the story of these guys who want different things in life, their experiences when they meet each other in a taxi and how they influence each other in a short time span. The movie is set in Mumbai, and this is a central aspect of the movie.

The cinematography is done by Kartik Vijay who makes his debut in bollywood with this movie. Vishal-Shekhar has composed the music for the film. The lyrics of some songs are done by Dev Kohli. And talented singers like Adnan Sami and Bappi Lahari have lent their vocals for the numbers.

In virtue of the collaboration, Western Union will run a series of contests for a week on Sunrise Radio and Radio XL promoting the film. The winners of the contest get to meet bollywood heartthrob John Abraham in Birmingham and London at a Western Union outlet during his Taxi No 9211 promotional tour on 14th and 15th February, respectively.

Many young girls will probably get their Valentine’s Day fantasies fulfilled and they have Western Union, money transfer to thank.
