Watch: Sonakshi Sinha's painful song ‘Badal’ from ‘Akira’
The second track from the much awaited film ‘Akira’ was released and it would leave you in tears. The song shows the trouble that the female protagonist Sonakshi aka Akira has faced. She was lonely, helpless and no one around.
She landed in jail after she comes to Mumbai from Rajasthan to study. She has nobody around in the dream city Mumbai. She was all alone, wandering along the streets of Mumbai.
While the first song 'Rajj Rajj Ke' in the voice of Sonakshi, sees her as a strong woman, ‘Badal’ shows Sonakshi the quite opposite.
The heart melting song has been crooned by versatile singer Sunidhi Chauhan and penned by Manoj Muntashir while the music has been composed by Vishal & Shekhar.
The first poster of ‘Akira’ was released on June 28. Sharing the poster, Sonakshi wrote#“She will fight back. No one will be forgiven! Heres the 1st poster of #Akira & more good news: #AkiraTrailerOnJuly4,” Sonakshi wrote with the poster on the micro-blogging site.
In the poster, Sonakshi is seen giving a fierce look. Sonakshi will be seen in the role of a journalist in the woman-centric action drama. She also trained in martial arts for a month and a half to prep up for her role in the film directed by AR Murugadoss. It is Sonakshi’s second collaboration with Murugadoss after her 2014 film ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’.
‘Akira’ is a remake of the 2011 Tamil film ‘Mouna Guru’. Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha and Mithun Chakraborty also reportedly appear in the film.
The movie will hit theatres on September 2.
