Watch: Salman's ‘Jumme Ki Raat’ from ‘Kick’ becomes a hit

As per the announcement made by director-producer Sajid Nadiadwala, the first song from the Salman Khan Starrer action flick ‘Kick’ was released last Friday, 20th June. The day and the date were carefully chosen by the people involved.  A source reveals, , "Jumma means Friday in Urdu, which is why the duo decided to host the launch on this particular day…Sajid (Nadiadwala, film-maker) and Salman chose this date for the big event so that his fans have at least a week to enjoy the song before Ramzan begins (the month of fasting starts on June 28)."

Sajid Nadiadwala had claimed that the song will be a treat for Salman Khan fans. He had also discussed the song and the accompanying video in a statement. He said, "The song 'Jumme ki Raat' is a treat for all the fans of Salman. It is shot in the underground style on a very big scale. We have tried to give it the edgy and grungy feel. The entire team of the song has done a fabulous job of putting this together with interesting visuals."  The video of the song was shot at a suburban Mumbai studio and has been choreographed by well known choreographer Ahmed Khan. The song is written by Shabbir Ahmed and Kumar and composed by Himesh Reshammiya. The singers who performed in the song are Mika Singh and Palak Muchhal.

Since its release the song has received almost 3 million hits on YouTube in just three days. The peppy track is extremely hummable and foot tapping. It is quite natural that the listeners will like it. The video also has a good visual appeal with lead stars Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez dancing energetically and are being accompanied by hundreds of back-up dancers. Salman has always been passionate about dancing and tries to give his best in every song. On the other hand, Jacqueline is not exactly known for her dancing skills but has put on her dancing shoes for this track.

Just like the song, the trailer of the film has also become a huge hit on YouTube with 7 million views in just five days. The film is scheduled to release on the day of the Eid in July. The film is important for Salman after the disappointment of his last release ‘Jai Ho’. Producers are also hoping that Salman will once again wield his star power at the box office.
