Watch: Radhika Apte, Manoj Bajpai in Shirish Kunder’s debut short film ‘Kriti’

Actress Radhika Apte, who satrred in Sujoy Ghosh’s Bengali short film ‘Ahalya’ last year has featured in filmmaker Shirish Kunder’s debut short film ‘Kriti’, which also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Neha Sharma.

‘Kriti’ is an engaging psychological thriller that was released online on Wednesday, June 22. The 18-minute film stars Manoj as a writer Sapan suffering from a psychological disorder. Radhika plays his friend and psychiatrist Kalpana Shah.

Neha is seen in the titular role of Kriti, Sapan’s mysterious girlfriend who suffers from agoraphobia (fear of one’s surroundings). However, Kalpana is of the opinion that Kriti is Sapan’s figment of imagination, and reminds him of a similar incident that happened in the past.

So, what happened in the past? Is Kriti for real, or Sapan is really a psychotic? Kalpana helps her friend figure it out.

Speaking at the launch of the film, Shirish said, “I was very relieved, not thinking about box-office numbers, or the censors. We could have made whatever we wanted. In feature films when we think of something right and by the time we make it. Here you make something and it is out in 2-3 months.”

The short film is being watched and liked by several people, including celebrities like Karan Johar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh and others. They took to Twitter and appreciated the director.
