Vishal Dadalani trolled for mocking nude monk, quits AAP

Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani drew nation outrage after he posted hilarious tweet on nude Jain guru Tarun Sagar. Tarun Sagar was mocked by Dadlani for appearing nude in the Haryana Assembly, At least 27 people filed police complaints against the artist for disrespecting the monk and hurting religious sentiments. Vishal Dadlani was trolled on social media.

In his address to the Haryana Assembly, the monk said: "The control of dharma over politics is essential. Dharma is the husband and politics is the wife. It is the duty of every husband to protect his wife and it is the duty of every wife to accept the orders (discipline) of her husband."

Vishal Dadlani slammed the nude monk for appearing clothless in Haryana assemble. He wrote: "People actually trying to defend the colossal idiocy of some naked monk, addressing Haryana assembly, telling women how to live! UNREAL!

"That dude has the same education, as he has clothes on. None. I've no problem with nudity. I have a problem with religion in governance.

"All respect for Jains & Jainism. Their concept of non-violence is what the world needs. But why 'saints' in Parliament?"

Later, Dadlani in his tweet declared quitting AAP. He explained that he was not asked to leave the party but did it on his own volition. “It feel(s) bad that I hurt my Jain friends and my friends Arvind Kejriwal and Satyendar Jain. I hereby quit all active political work/affiliation,” he wrote.

“I apologize again, to the Jain Community and all others offended. But I beg you all not to support religion in governance, for India’s sake. I’m no leader, man. I’m just a guy with too many opinions. Learnt that India is safer when we all just wave and smile.Nothing vulgar about nudity. Telling women how to live, what to wear, where to go, what to do. THAT is vulgar!” he added. “I am happy to apologize, as long as people can see that mixing religion in governance is a serious problem!”

Senior AAP leaders maintained that Dadlani’s walk out from the party will be a serious loss and there will be talks with the musician to rethink his decision. AAP national spokesperson Sanjay Singh told, “We all love and respect Dadlani and he is a great friend. We will speak to him about his decision. As for his statement on the religious leader, I do not think if a religious preacher, who gives a good message to society speaks at a certain forum, there is anything wrong about it.”
