Trailer: Watch Rani Mukherjee kicks, punches in ‘Mardaani’


The trailer of the much awaited movie of Rani Mukherjee and YRFs titled, ‘Mardaani’ is out which shows Rani as daring police inspector of Mumbai crime branch. Her character is named as Shivani Shivaji Roy and she fights against child trafficking. She is seen fighting against the goon. She is seen in action mode and fights against the baddie.

Dressed in simple, Rani Mukherjee looks a perfect police officer. The movie is being directed by Pradeep Sarkar, who directed Rani in 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag' (2007). Mardaani produced by Yash Raj Films, will be released on 22 August.

The trailer begins with a title, “India is the world's hub for child sex trafficking...Nearly 40,000 children are abducted every year...Every 8 minutes a girl child goes missing in India!”

Rani fights to rescue a teenage girl Pyaari who is very dear to inspector Shivani. She is a fearless cop who risks her life to save the society.

This is Rani's first release post marriage to director-producer Aditya Chopra.
