Trailer: Watch Bipasha Basu in 'Creature 3D'
After few delays director Vikram Bhatt’s ambitious project, the Bipasha Basu starrer sci-fi film ‘Creature 3D’ is finally on its course to get released. The trailer of the film was released on 16th July at an event in Mumbai and was attended by the makers and the actors. Along with the theatrical trailer, the first look poster of the sci-fi monster film was also released.
Bipasha also posted the poster on her Twitter account with the following caption "First poster of #Creature3D !". With this film, model turned actor from Pakistan Imran Abbas is making his debut. The other cast members are Mukul Dev and Deepraj Rana. Originally the film was slated to release on 27th June but was postponed due to some work with visual effects. Now the film’s release has been pushed back again for two weeks since the makers did not want to clash with the Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Singham Returns’ which is releasing on 15th august.
The director Vikram Bhatt said, “It's a mega-budget film for both Bhushan and me. We had to push forward the release by two weeks because Ajay Devgn's Singham Returns'opens on Aug 15 and we didn't want to come within a week of its release." Bhusan Kumar of production house T-Series said, “Creature will be the first time we make a sci-fi film. This film will definitely give our audience something different. And Vikram has shot it on par international standards. He has finished the shoot of the film and is now busy with post production."
After the successful horror film ‘Haunted 3D’, this is the second time Vikram Bhatt is making a film in 3D. The main antagonist of the film, the creature has been created using VFX for the first time in India. This is also India’s first proper monster film set in the lines of films like ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Predator’. At the launch event, director Vikram Bhatt, producer Bhushan Kumar, Bipasha Basu and Mahesh Bhatt all were present. Also spotted at the event was a pandit ji (Hindu priest). When asked by the media, Vikram revealed the secret that he was there because of Bipasha. He said, “Pandit ji has come to tie a red thread for Bipasha, as she was really scared to watch the trailer.” The priest eventually did tie a red thread on her wrist and said it was for prosperity and peace of mind. Vikram Bhatt is known to use similar characters in his horror films. We can only speculate about whether ‘Creature 3D’ will follow the others or will it be clawing towards its own way.
