Trailer: Taste ‘Daawat-E-Ishq’ with Aditya, Parineeti
The first trailer of Parineeti Chopra- Aditya Roy Kapoor starrer ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ has been released. This looks to be another interesting romantic comedy from the Yash Raj Films stable. The film is directed by national award winner Habib Faisal who also directed acclaimed films like ‘Ishaqzaade’ and ‘Do Dooni Chaar.’ The trailer has been put together well. It introduces us to the main characters as well as gives some hints to the plot. Also the trailer has some serious moments like Parineeti being chased by rough looking men and Aditya shouting angrily against her. Altogether it helps to raise the curiosity of the audience. Apart from the lead pair of Aditya and Parineeti, the film also stars Anupam Kher and TV actor Karan Wahi who will be making his film debut with this role.
This is the second time Parineeti is working with the director Habib Faisal after her debut in ‘Ishaqzaade’ and for the first time with Aditya Roy Kapoor. Aditya has also expressed his happiness about working with the director. In an interview, he said, "It's a pleasure to work with Habib. He is one of the finest filmmakers in the industry. It makes a big difference to work with such a filmmaker." The film tells the story of Gulrez “Gullu” Qadir from Hyderabad (Parineeti), a sales-girl who is disillusioned about love after her encounters with men who want dowry for marriage. One day she meets Tariq “Taru” Haidar (Aditya) from Lucknow, a cook who can impress anyone with his cooking and his charm. What flavors will be created when these two different yet interesting individuals fall in love?
Parineeti’s character is a bit repetitive, the lively and
feisty girl from a humble background. But with her skills she still can deliver
a memorable performance. She is counted among the best young talents in
Bollywood right now but she has tough competition in the forms of Alia Bhatt
and Shraddha Kapoor. Both Alia and Shraddha has recently sung songs for their
films and received praise. During the trailer launch of ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’,
Parineeti was asked whether she has any plans for singing too but she got a bit
upset and said, “No one has asked me to sing a song.” While Parineeti will be
looking to cement her place in Bollywood, her co-star Aditya Roy Kapoor would
be looking to repeat the success of ‘Aashiqui 2.’ The film will be coming out
on 5th September, 2014.
