Aamir to stay away from politics

Aamir Khan known as the ‘perfectionist Khan’ said that he wanted to be away from politics.

Aamir, at present, busy hosting the second season of his TV show, ‘Satyamev Jayate’ was quoted saying he was not interested in joining politics. “I don’t belong to the field of politics, won’t be able to do well in politics. Why does one enter politics, to contribute to the society… I can contribute to the society from where I am. This is why I would not join politics,” the actor said while talking to women journalists at Indian Women’s Press Corps (IWPC).

Delhi HC lifts stay order on Gulaab Gang

The movie ‘Gulaab Gang’ has been in the news for quite some time over controversies of the story being on activist Sampat Pal. It was reported that the Delhi High Court had issued a stay order on the release of the film. In its ruling the HC had stated that the film would not release in any format until May 8. The ruling had come after a petition filed by Sampat Pal, the leader of the real life Gulaab Gang, who claimed that the makers of the film had not taken the necessary permissions from her before the film started.

But on Thursday the High Court lifted the stay order and the film ‘Gulaab Gang’ that features Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla in lead roles released as per its schedule across the country on Friday, March 7.

Kangana Ranaut: I am not interested in awards

Bollywood’s one of the most talented and also National Award winning actress Kangana Ranaut, receiving praises for her performance in Queen was quoted saying that she preferred appreciation from the audience over trophies. “I am not interested in awards. I have already won a lot of awards… the audience’s appreciation is important for me,” Kangana said in an interview recently.

“I am getting good reviews for my film. Many people are appreciating the film on social networking website. We all are very happy about that,” the actor added.

Sonam opposite Salman in ‘Bade Bhaiya’

Salman Khan had hit the headlines with the news that he would soon be seen in a Sooraj Barjatya film ‘Bade Bhaiya’. But after Khan was confirmed for the film, speculation was rampant about who would play the female lead opposite him. And after months of rumors, media reports say that Sonam Kapoor has been finalized for the role.

Sonam confirmed the news and said she had been in conversation with the makers of the movie for the past four months and has been able to work out the minor details of the film.
